Matches between Waipawa and Napier Clubs will be played at Napier on the King's Birthday. DANNEVIRKE CLUB. The committee of the Dannevirke Bowling Club met on Monday evening. The Palmerston North club wrote asking if there would be any objection to the Terrace and club {a new club) becoming a competitor for the Dixon Cup.—lt was resolved that a reply be sent to the effect that the Dannevirke club had no objection. Mr Tombs wrote asking if Dannevirke would be willing to join a district association comprising the Feilding, Palmerston North, Terrace End, Otaki, Levin, Pahiatua, Woodville and Dannevirke clubs.—Resolved that a reply be sent stating that the club would be prepared to join the proposed association. It was resolved in view of the general feeling of hostility manifesed towards the proposal to admit ladies as members of the club that the question be allowed to drop. The green will be officially opened on the 9th inst.
