Christchurch Burglaries

, PER PRESS ASSOCIATION Christchurch last night stated that a number of premises ia Chiistchcrcn were burglariously en- , tered last night, although the thieves got little satisfaction for their entrances. Two offices situated in Gloucester street, were ransacked at a late hour, the burglars evidently gaining admission with skeleton keys and proceeding to the office of H. L. Friena tney picked the lock of the door and went through the premises. Fortunately the local manager banked late in the after noon and the only reward the thieves got was a small amount of loose silver from a drawer. Leonard Blake's office opposite, was the next ransacked, and drawers were forced open, but the thieves came away empty handed, as nothing of value had been left in the office It is understood that other premises were also entered.
