It was resolved that in future the annual shooting matches be held on the last Thursday and Friday in January. secretary's salary. Captain Sandtman said that he did not approve of the secretary's position being honorary. It was neither fair to the secretary or the Association. There was a tremendous amount of work attached to the position, and he was called upon to pay a certain amount out! of his own pocket, for which he was never reimbursed. He suggested that he should receive £5 per annum. That
amount would just about pay his out-of-pocket expenses. Major Russell thought that it would be better to allow the matter to stand over until the end of the year, as at the present time the Association did not quite know their financial position. He knew that the secretary was quite agreeable for that course to be pursued. Major Russell's suggestion was ;• greed to. The meeting then closed.
