o (Per United Press Assn.—Copyright). Received January 29, 10.1:' pan London, January 29 The Reden mine, Rhenish Prussia, is the property of the Government. Fire damp caused the explosion at a depth of 2300 ft, It is feared that the rest cf those entombed will be suffocated. The fire is now raging, rendering the rescue work almost irupossible. A second explosion has occurred. President Fallieres has telegraphed to the Kaiser, condoling with him on the terrible disaster.
