Horr Basserman, the National Liberal leader in the Reichstag, announced the party"3 intention to intervene in foreign policy. He declared that Great Britain was the pivot of Germany's entire political world development, and asserted that King Edward was silently pursuing with iron persistence a policy intended to promote Great Britain's greatness and to secure Germany's isolation.
