Received November 2, 10.25 p.m London, November 2 A stormy scene occurred in the House of Gommons over Viscount Castlereagh's motion that the Trade Disputes Bill do not apply to Ireland. The motion was negatived by 239 votes to 4. Mr S. H. Butcher (Cambridge University) declared that the bill facilitated boycotting and intimidation as when under the Land League's baneful tyranny the living were refused the necesasries of life and the dead denied coffins. Mr W. Delaney (Oasory) : It is a slander. Mr J. C. Flynn (North Cork): It is a lie. The interjections were withdrawn under the Speaker's direction.
