Westland Scat
(lVr l'rcbs Av ,elation). liokitika, July a Mr T. Y. Seddon and Mr H. L. Michel were the only candidates nominated for Westland. Another nomination was received by the returning officer, but without the necessary deposit, and was therefore refused. Mr Seddon addressed a large crowd in the theatre this evening, there being over 1000 present- Tho candidate received a great ovation.
