OTAGO v MELBOURNE. unedin, March 16 The cricket match Melbourne Cricket Club v Otago wa3 commenced to-day on the Carisbrook Ground. The weather was dull but kept iine till 5.30, when rain fell. Tha wicket was easy. Otago. going in first, made but an indifferent display against Armstrong's leg breaks, with the exception of Boker, who played a solid innings for 55. The total was 130, (Baker 55, Graham 16, Austin 16, Downes 18, Torrance 12). Armstrong took six wickets for 75, and McLeod for 51. TO-DAY'S PLAY. Dunedin, March 17. The cricket was resumed in ideal weather. The Melbourne team have lost two wickets for 10, A itkin (run out) 25, Mailler (not out) 17, Hansford and B Downes 0, Armstrong (not out) 5 At the luncheon adjournment the tcore was 2 fur b'2.
