Suicide

(i'er Press Association). Duuediu, March 16. Joseph Ernest Sargent, si married man, shot himself at an early hour this morning at his residence in Cargill street. Deceased was an accountant at Thomson and Bridge's hardware establishment. Later Sargent shot himself at his place of business, whither lie went at nine last night, saying he had to resume work. His wife expected hini to return at midnight, but as ho failed to do so she left for the ollice, and discovered a light there. The manager being appealed to, she opened the premises and found Sargent lying dead, with bullet holes through both temples and a revolver alongside. There was no one else ill the place. The iirins books are all riirlit, and there is no cause to explain the act. He leaves a wife and two children.
