HASTINGS GREEN. A very interesting game between a local team and one comprised of visitors, namely, Loasby (Greyraouth), Spriggons (Wanganui), Cunningham (Palmerston), and Bunting (Napier). The game throughout was keenly contested. During the earlier part of the game the visitors got the advantage, and at the eighth head the score was i 13—8- The Hastings men by very 1 go 3d play gradually reduced the points between them, until at the 15th head the score was 16 each. Hastings at the lGth head were laying four when the visitors' skip drove the jack to two other bowls of the Hastings men, making the total IN—l6. The next two heads went in favour of the visitors' thanks to driving 18—18. At the 10th head, when the visitors were laying four good ones, the Hastings skip dre-v, splendidly and cut three out, 18—iy. At the 20th head the play was Keen, and the visitors had one in, and the jack well protected, when the .slaps commenced and the visiting skip drew two beauties, making the totala 22 IS, and in the final ,'taeacl secured one.
