Divorce Courts

Wellington, September 23. The Hawke's Day Divorce case Gray v. Gray was again before the Court this morning when the question of alimony was .settled. The respondent, Adam Gray, was ordered to "vest in his wife £lO per annum of his share of the marriage settlement which, with his wife's share of £4O, makes the allowance I'Bo a year. The mother was given custody of' the child. In the Divorce Court a decree nisi was granted in the case of Orgarita Vitetta v. Joseph Vitetta, on the grounds of adultery. Respondent himself gave evidence" in support of the petition, but denied that there was collusion in order to secure a divorce. Hokitika, September 2;5 Fm the case Mcßrcarty v. Mcßreaty, husband's petition, on the grounds of desertion, a rule nisi was granted to be made absolute in three months. In the case Svenson v. Svenson, husband's petition on the grounds of adultery, the decision was reserved. i Doth cases were undefended.
