HASTINGS SUB-UNION

Tiie annual meeting of the Hastings Hugjby Sub-union was held in Eilingham s Hotel, on Saturday evening, i\ir R. W. liaise in the chair. The annual report submitted ;jy tile hon. secretary (Mr E. R. Cameron), after giving a detailedi report, of the matches played by the sub-union during last season, alluded to the kindness of Mr G. F. Roach in placing the Storfford Lodge grounds at the disposal, of the Union during last season, and stated he had given permission for matches to be played there this year also. The services of Messrs A. Mcßae and Nesbitt were acknowledged. Referees were badly wanted, and it was suggested that a Referees', Association be formed, and that too Wallers generally try to get suitable persons interested in this important branch of the sport. The balanoe-sheet showed the *reI ceipts at till Is aiwi expenses at £37 5s sd, leaving a cash balance of £3 15s 7d. The assets and cash at the dispos'al of the Union mow amounts to £l2 Bs, which in & rorv satisfactory, considering the subunion started last year, absolutely without funds. The report and bal-ance-sheet was adopted. The following were appointed delegates : —Messrs Hakiway, Sutherland, O'Neill, D.iTomoaia, F. 'Tomoana, J. Beatson ju'n., Gooseman and N". Owen. . The following officers were appointed President, Mr R. W. 1 false ; vice-presidents, Messrs T. 11. Lowrv.
