THE PETROPAULOVSKI DISASTER.

Russian details regarding the loss of Petropaulovski are to the effect that she was returning, before a superior force and was preparing to re-oater Port Arthur when, at eight in the morning, while the Admiral and crew were at breakfast, the boil ers sucMenly exploded, followed by a similar catastrophe in the magazine. The water rushed in huge gaps in the hull of the ship s and she capsized. None between decks escaped, but those who w'.'re precipitated into the sua were rescued by torpejdoers if able to swim. The Grand Duke Cyril aiyl Captain Bamle, who were standing on the bridge, were thrown against the iron stanchions. The Captain was killed, and 1 the Orand Duke almost stunned. lie was badly hurt on the head and legs besides being burned about the body. He clambered to the deck, plunged info the sea. and clung to wreck-ge for twenty minutes till the torpedoers rescued him. The "Daily Man" stalo the Pctrupauloviski sank in 3A minuses.
