Tamatea Maori Council

Reports from the viilace committees, pa the sanitary condition of Kamgas and the people, were received and found satisfactory. The general heal th is good, and vaccination is going on. Twenty-seven wooden houses (pake ha built) have been eree'ed. and seventeen raupo and toetoe huts, have been pulled down. Six store houses have been erected. Sixteen more latrines have been put up. One Maori meeting house has been raised 2:t and a 'i'.mr put m. Two dea'hs at Paki Paki caused suspicion and t;,e Maoris in thc.-c part- are now m- > true ted to take their sick to Euro pean doctors as soon as possible. The dog tax collecting has been going on satisfactorily.
