Native Appellate Court.

THE OHITI BLOCK

Judgment in the Ohiti block appeal was given at the Native Appellate Court in Hastings this morning by Judges Mackay and Mair. The following are the different awards :

No 1. Hoana Pokopakara and five others increased by two shares, (a share being SO acres), making the total of 450 acres.

No 2. W. M. Broughton and six others increased by H shares, making a total of 600 acres. Mrs Donnelly, brothers, and sisters increased by nine shares, making their total 690 acres. Otaieta liaingahore and two others increased by two shares, ** making a total of 120 acres. No 4. Arona Raurina and 13 others were reduced by 480 acres in the first award, leaving them now 1200 acres. No 5. Hera Upohoiri, excluded in tho first judgment, was now ordered to be included with 90 acres. No 6. Keita Rute, excluded in the first judgment, was now ordered to be included with 90 acres.

No 1 and No 4 were represented by Mr Loughnan, Nos. 2 and 6 b.y Mr A. L. D. Fraser, No 3 by Mr T. W. Lewis, and No 5 by Mr Scannell. Judgment in the Whitio appeal will bo given on the return of Judge Mair from Palmerston North in about a week.
