jq-EW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. (NAPIEE SECTION). NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS, 1898. HAWKE'S BAY RACES, HASTINGS, Ist & 3hd January. On New Year's Eve a special passenger train (stopping where required) will leave Napier for Hastings at 11 p.m. On New Year's Day, Ist January, 1898, the usual time table will be suspended. Dannevirke-Waipukurau-Napier trains will run as below. Trains will leave Hastings Eaceeourse for Napier (stopping at all stations for passengers) at 4.52 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. On Monday, 3rd January, 1898, the usual time-table will be observed with the following amendments a»d additions. The afternoon tram to Waipukurau will leave Napier 4.35 p.m., Farxidon 5 p.m., Hastings 5.33, Racecourse 5.40, arriving Waipukurau 7.37 p.m. The 2.50 p.m. train, Woodville to Napier, will leave Waipukurau at 7.5 p.m. (other stations at usual times). Trains will leave Napier for Eacecourse, 11 a.m., 11.15 a.m., and 1.5 p.m. (the 11 a.m. train does not stop at stations between Napier and Racecourse), Trains will leave Racecourse far Napier, 4.52 p.m, and p.m. On Ist January goods traffic will be suspended and all goods sheds closed.
