THE HOSPITAL PROPOSAL.
[To The Editor.] Sir,—Your article advocating the erection of a Hospital at Hastings is just the thing. You do not state, however, how it is to be clone. You ask who will take the lead. Might I suggest His Worship the Mayor as a suitable person. A public meeting might assist.—l am, etc. Sympathy. [To the Editoe. ; Sir,—ln your leading article, re a Hospital for Hastings, a very important item in its favour was omitted, namely, the expense, time, and trouble to people who have to visit their friends or relatives in the Napier Hospital from Hastings or district. It is an expense few can often afford, and makes the trouble and anxiety still harder on both sides in cases of husband or wife being a patient.
