[By Telegraph.] (Per Press Association.) Auckland, Saturday. A movement is on foot to establish a mounted volunteer corps in Auckland, Colonel Banks has promised every assistance. The body of an infant, prematurely born, was found floating in an open sewer in Mechanics Bay. Sir James Prendergast and his private secretary arrived from the South this morning on the way to Raratonga to hold a Commission on the difficulties that have arisen between the High Commissioner, Mr Moss, and the natives.
