Star of New Zealand arrive d ;it the roadstead from London via Auckland at da y light yesterday morning, and immediately commenced to discharge her cargo of general merchandise. After taking in a few lighter loads of wool she proceeds to Wellington to-day, to finish discharging her home cargo, when she will return to Napier to complete her outward voyage. Huddart, Parker, & Co.'s s.s. Westralia, Captain BuH, arrived nt the breakwater from southern ports at 11 a.m. yesterday, and was busy loading her the rest of the day. At 8 o'clock last night she continued her journey for northern ports and Sydney. Bad and heavy seas is still the order of the daj" at Wairoa, and the crew of the Te Kapu are consequently enjoying wellearned rest. An earthquake at sea is an awesome sensation. The Queen of the South, when three miles north of Kapiti, felt the shock on Wednesday morning, the -sensation being as if the vessel was grating over rocks.
