WELLINGTON CUP SCRATCHING,

(Per Prets Association.) Wellington, This day. Culverin has been scratched for the Wellington Cup. Golden Plover and Douglas have bet n scratched for all engagements at the Wellington Racing Club's summer meeting. AUCKLAND TRAINING NOTES. (By Telegraph.) (Per Press Association.) Auckland, This day. At Ellerslie this morning, good work was got through in view of the Auckland B.C. summer meeting. St. Paul galloped U miles at a sound pace, going very freely. He is in great heart. Antares and Panoply were associated in a gallop of two miles, both horses moving well. Nestor, after traversing a mile arnica half at half pace, was joined by Miss Nelson. The pair then put in another round at their best pace, Nestor being well in front at the finish. Merry Maid and Pyroxoline compassed two circuits at a good working pace. Merry Maid holding her companion safe at the finish. Acone, Day Star, and Armilla got through steady work. Coronet and Eton galloped seven furlongs, there being little to choose between the pair at the "finish. The two-;.ear-old Hermosa spurted six furlongs. Nor'west and Markinch covered the circuit at a sound pace. Levanter was treated to two useful rounds of the plough, going in good style. Kingswood did similar work, Cuiralba, Lady Marion and St Crispin galloped seven furlongs, the two finishing abreast. Sabretache, assisted by Flying i'ish, was treated to about 12 furlongs, the Cup horse holding his companion safe all the way. Conscript, with a light weight up, strode over three rounds at half pace. This horse looks well. Moreze got through steady work.
