On Saturday morning two Jersey cows, the property of Mr James Rowe, of Windsor Park, were found dead in a paddock. There is no way of accountin" for their death. One cow was found to have frothed at the mouth, indicating the possibility of being poisoned. Early yesterday the trotting horse Vermont was found dead in a paddock at Woolston. Mr Allen, veterinary surgeon, expresses the opinion that the horse was poisoned, being given either oxalic acid or tartar emetic.
