(Per Press Association.) Auckland, This day. The first wool sale of the season was held to-day. Prices showed a drop compared with last year. For long wool the top price realised was 6fd, and the average price 6Jd ; for crossbreds prices ranged from sfd to 7Jd, the average was 6£d; half breds brought up to 7d. .Compared with last year long wool showed a drop of id to Id ; crossbred a drop from to fd. Among the southern representatives Price Murgatroyd has been among the leading buyers,
