(Per Press Atssociotion. —Cvpyr'ajht.) Brisbane, Thi.s day. In the Legislative Assembly the Premier moved the Federation Enabling Bill. He said in order to meet the views of the Separationists he was willing to divide the colony into three or ten electorates, but Ministers would vote as they liked. The members for the central and northern districts strongly urged the necessity of dividing the colony into three electorates, declaring that the separation question was paramount and federation must be subordinated thereto. Mr Curtis moved an amendment that the Bill be withdrawn. The amendment was carried by 21 to 1!).
