THE PROGRESSIVES IN A MAJORITY. fPer Press Associntion. —Cvinjrijkt.) Lonpon, Nov. 27. At the Londou School Board elections, which have just been completed, 29 Progressives were elected. This is the first clear majority they secured since 1882. Mr J. R. Diggle, a Moderate, who took a prominent part in the religious education discussion in 1805, lest his seat as representative for Marylebone. Much indifference was manifested by the electors at the present election, there being half a million fewer votes than at the previous election, the Biblereading in schools question not being disturbed.
