Fires in the North.

(By Telegraph). (Per Press Association.) Auckland, This day. Ivnocks's Hot Springs Hotel, Te Aroha, was burned down last night. The occupants are all safe. A destructive fire occurred at Waihi at 3 a.m. to-day. Eleven buildings were burned. The cause is unknown. Later. By the fire af Waihi 13 shops were destroyed. The fire broke out in Miss Joll's shop in the Main street and spread to Gibbons's large boarding house and McLean's shop on the other side of the road but was extinguished there without much damage. On the other side the fire demolished the premises of Newdicks. Tyrells, McLean, Miners Union, McLeay, Vuglar Bros, Glasgowu, and Mrs Donnelly. It was stopped by erecting a wall of galvanised iron. The insurances are not available.
