According to a Reuter's telegram the Porte has been warned by Russia that in the event of the Greek indemnity due to Turkey in respect to the late war being applied to the reorganisation of the Turkish naval armament, Russia will demand the payment of the balance of the RussoTurkish war indemnity, amounting to £80,800,000.
