A Fatal Shooting Affray.
TWO SETTLERS QUARREL OYER A LAND DISPUTE.

Auckland, Nov. 12
A case of shooting occurred at Harapipi, Waikato, to-day, the result of a quarrel. A settler named Pohlen is charged with having shot another settler named Corcoran.
The quarrel is alleged to be over a land dispute. A late telegram states that Corcoran is dead.
Pohlen was 7rt years of age, and was one of Von Temps key's Forest Rangers. He has two sous residing in Auckland. This day. Corcoran had a wife and large family. Henry Pohlen was one of the original settlers. The farms of Corcoran and Pohlen adjoined. It is stated that the former obtained a sec.ion which t'.io flatter wanted also that the boundaries of Corcoran's land included the roadway, the means of egress from Pohlen's holding.
