The Standard says Lord Salisbury might insist upon France withdrawing from Say, situated on the Middle Niger, before the Anglo-French West African Delimitation Committae now sitting proceed to the delimitation of the disputed territories. Sydney, This day. The manager of the Darey-Went-worth mine, Lucknow, has agreed to similar terms to those conceded by the Wentworth mine management, and strike is declared off. Hobakt, This day. Mr Lewis has resigned the leadership of the Opposition. At present there is no formal leader, but a meeting will be held to-morrow at the request of Mr A. I. Clarke, late Attor-ney-General to reorganise and elect a leader.
