Captain Edwin wired this afternoon : Wind between north and west and south-west at all places northward of Tiiuaru and Queenstown and between west and south and south-east elsewhere. Barometer rise at all places north of Napier and New Plymouth farther full but rising after 6 hours elsewhere. Moderate to strong westerly winds are to be expected at all places northward of Timaru and Queenstown and strong southerly winds in the southern districts.
