FORTY MEN A!• FiXTEJ >. [BY TELEGRAPH.] (Per Press Associaii;>u.) New Plymouth, This day. A dispute has occurred between ihe carpenters and builders as to the payment for 47 or 48 hours. Tlic men work 47 and demand payment for 48. About forty men struck this morning, but it is possible an arrangement may be come to. Later. The builders' have conceded 48 hours pay for 47 hours work. The men are resuming work.
