THE STRIKE COLLAPSING. ( Per 1 'ress Associa tion.—Copt/ritjh t.) Sydney, This day. The Lucknow strikers are disheartened at the surfacemen returning to work, and the strike secretary states that probably the strike will be declared off in a few days. The Minister of Mines in a letter to the Crown Solicitor takes exception to the actiou of the Warden in granting the suspension of the labor conditions, and says the rates of wages and conditions under which miners have to work are not causes to make the mine unworkable. Wages and conditions must be relegated to the Minister for decision.
