Later particulars show that the suicide of the man Armstong at- Te Eaumea was of a most determined character. Previous to committimg the act he appeared to be in a cheerful mood, but later on was found in a cookhouse with his windpipe completely severed and his head nearly severed from his body. A looking glass and razor, covered, with blood, were on the table. lie was a single man, thirty years of age.
