CAPTURE OF A FANATIC.
THE "NEW MESSIAH" PLACED IN PRISON. (I'er Press Aasuciatioit.— Cujn/rii/ht.) Rio ijk Janekio, Oct. 7. The Brazilian troops, after several days' fighting, captured the Canados stronghold of Conselheiro, the Portuguese fanatic who attempted to raise an armed rebellion against the Government. The losses on both sides were heavy. Conselheiro was captured and placed in prison.
