WOODLANDS HUNT CLUB.
The steeplechase meeting at Danevirke on Wednesday was not a great success, though the racing was good, some splendid jumping being witnessed during the afternoon. The following are the results : Maiden Steeples.—Parson 1, Pirate 2. Belmo had a nasty fall but her rider was unhurt. Handicap Hack Flat—Kerry Lass 1. Young Matai % Bonita 3. Fitzlee also started. Handicap Hurdles. —Schnapps oung Matai 2. Belmo 3. Behno ran ofl at the first hurdle, a fact that did not please the spectators. Schnapps won as he liked. Woodlands Hunt Club Cup.—C'lieve 1, Parson 2, Confession 3. In the last round Clieve was leading, but fell at the fence at the back. Parson was thus placed in the lead,but Clieve was remounted, and rapidly # overhauled Parson, winning by a fewlengths. Hunters* Flat.—Schnapps 1, Bonita 2, Young Matai 3. Won easily. Danevirke Steeplechase.—Clieve had a walk over for this event. Ladies' Bracelet.—Belmo 1, Schnapps 2, Clieve 3. Pirate and Bonita also rail. The best race of the day. H.B. MEETING.
