The mollah "of Hadda attacked General Blood's forces at Lakarai on Monday night, and the fighting continued for several hours. LieutenantColonel H. O. Woodhouse, commanding the third brigade, was severely wounded in one of his knees. The British loss was one killed and 11 wounded. The forces under Genorals Elles and Blood have effected a junction. Colonel Jeffreys has completely cowed the Mohmands.

London, Sept. 22. Large detachments of cavalry have been ordered to India.
