The Ameer's Afghanistan's troops are disposing of the disaffected tribesmen and preventing them joining the rebels, thus crippling the Mollahs' power. A council of Afridis held at Tirah refused Mollah Akbar's urgent appeal to attack Jamriul or Faman. The council replied that the crops were ready to cut and the Afridis were not able to muster a large gathering while at present as the consequence of fighting there was mourning in every house.
