The Wreck of the Tasmania.
THE lUNEMOA'S TRIP SUCCESSFUL. [By Telegraph.] (Per Press Association.) Gisborne, This day. The Hinemoa arrived from Mahia last night. The steamer reached Mahia on Wednesday, and ail Wednesday and Thursday was engaged carefully sounding without finding any uncharted dangers. Yesterday the wind came in from the north-east with a heavy roll and in the evening Captain Neal had to run to Gisborne for shelter. It had been the Captain's intention to pull out the Tasmania's masts, they being dangerous to navigation, but the state of the sea preventing this he left over the wreck a buoy painted green. Postmaster Wilkie and the divers return to Napier. Mr Armstrong, .the Government surveyor, may probably go on to Auckland to report there.
