Fair Nell foaled twins to Dreadnought last week, both dead. The Hon. J. Carroll has purchased Mahaki and has leased the son of Ingomar to a Gisborne sport. An accident, necessitating a long spell, caused St Cyr's withdrawal from the l up. Dromedary is to be mated with Gold Reef. Nautilus has produced a full sister to defunct Cyuisca. Peantom, by Musket —Atlantis, died at Auckland last week after foaling to Seaton Delaval. Eedleap has been put into work once more. A Press Association wire received today from Auckland says:—"The Auckland Club's programme for the season was i=sued to-day. There is to be no first spring meeting. The November meeting has been increased to three days. The Club altogether hold 11 days racing and give £1985 more in added money, the total being £13,450. The Auckland Cup has been increased to £IOOO. The Autumn Handicap is made oOOsovs and the distance reduced to one mile. CANTERBURY CUP.
