A PRESIDENT ASSASSINATED.
THE URUGUAY PRESIDENT SHOT IN THE HEART. THE MURDERER ARRESTED. {Per Press Association.—C<>pyri<jJit.) Monte Video, August 26. Don Juan Idiarte Borda, President of the Republic of Uruguay, was assassinated when leaving a national thanksgiving service at the Monte Video Cathedral. A youth named Arrender.do fired a revolver at the President, the .shot penetrating the latter's heart, killing him instantly. The murderer was immediately arrested.
