THE BURWOOD STRIKE SETTLED. CLOSING THE PUDLEY PIT DOWN. ( Per Press Association. —Copyright.) Sydney, This day. The Burwood colliery strike has been settled. The management has agreed to re-start on the strength of the men's assurance not again to leave work without due notice. The management of the Dudley colliery has given its employes a fortnight's notice. The pit will be closed nnless the men accept a reduction on the hewing rate from 2s lid to 2s 6d. The men have decided not to accept the reduction.
