Captain Edwin wired this afternoon : Wind between south-east and east and north at all places northward of Napier and Wanganui, and between north-east and north and west elsewhere. Barometer further rise at all places northward of Napier and Wanganui ; fall at all other places soon. Strong northerly winds are to be expected at all places southward of Napier and Wanganui after 12 hours, strong easterly winds at all other places, and decreasing easterly gale at Gisborne.
