The victim fell at his wife's feet, exclaiming "I am murdered," and died within an hour, his last words being " Long live Spain." Rinaldi declares that his deed was a just act of vengeance, and the outcome of a vast Anarchist conspiracy. The police had great difficuty in preventing the crowd from lynching the assassin. The Queen was deeply affected when the news was broken to her, and inten# popular indignation is manifested. The Government consider that Rinaldi had no accomplices, and that the deed was without political significance. Later. The nation is tranquil. Senor Sagas, leader of the Opposition, and liLeral leaders have offered their services to the Government. THE DYNAMITE EXPLOSION. AT A CARTRIDGE DEPOT. 130 PERSONS KILLED. Later particulars of the explosion in the cartridge depot at Rustchuk show that 130 persons were killed and 170 injured. The victims were mostly women and children, who were engaged emptying the old cartridges at the time of the explosion. Many of them were blown to atoms, while others ablaze jumped into the Danube and were drowned.
