A BIG FIRE IN SYDNEY.

A NEWSPAPER OFFICE BURNED our. (Per Press Association.—Copyriyht K Sydney, This day. A great fire broke out in the city at 3.30 this morning, when a fine four-story building occupied by the Australian Star, in Castlereagh-street, was completely destroyed. The fire must have been burning some time for by the time the brigade received the call the building was a seething mass of flames. A southerly breeze aided the flames, which lit up the city and blowing over Beresford Chambers, where the New Zealand Press Association office is located, threatened each moment to set the roof on fire. By strenuous efforts the brigade managed to confine the flames to the newspaper office, which Ivas burned out from cellar to garret.
