Captain Edwin wired this afternoon : "Wind between north-east and north and west at all places northward of Tauranga, Taupo, and Raglan, and between north-east and south-east at all other places. Barometer further fall at all places northward of Tauranga, Taupo, and Raglan ; fall soon elsewhere. Northerly gales and heavy rain are to be expected at all places northward of Napier. Taupo, and Raglan, and easterly gales and rain from thence southward to Lyttelton and Hokitika; strong easterly winds from thence southward, and frosts in parts of Otago.
