The Missing Men.
Gisborne, August 1. The list of the missing men, as suppled by the officers of the .Tasmania is as follows, all having been in the one boat, commanded by the chief steward :—Henderson, chief steward ; A. Woods, chief cook ; Bidmead, butcher ; -J. Lohan, saloon steward ; Conway, pantryman ; W. McGuirc, pantryman ; H. Bollard, second forecabin steward ; Dymock, third cook ; F. Robertson, bedroom steward. Another person, who cannot be found, is Mr Alderton, of Whangarei, about whom anxious inquiries are being made, whilst no name can be found for the poor fellow lying in the morgue, who from appearances was a passenger. The following particulars of the lost and missing men are supplied by members of the crew : Harry Bollard, second fore-cabin steward. Single, born at Rio de •Jenairo, mother at Melbourne or Christchurch ; beautiful cornet player. Thomas Conway, pantryman Single, about 25, been long lime in ship ; sister, step-father, and mother in Dunedin ; was in Eotokino accident few years ago, rendered much assistance. William M'Guire, second pantryman —Born in Yorkshire, aged 21, years ; sister married in Sydney ; came out in s.s. Marloo. Alexander Woods, chief cook.-—Been in ship since she came out five years ago ; native of Dumbarton, married ; wife and ono child in Sydney, address 99 Princess-street, Miller's Point; age about 80. M'Nellie, able seaman.—Natixe of Southampton, married, widow at Lyttelton with five children ; good sea' man, steady, was aged 30. Charles Henderson, chief steward.— Native of Richmond, London, married, wife aud two children in Leichhardt, Sydney, aged 40, been on ship four years, very popular. Bidmead, butcher.—Single, born in Christchurch, mother in Melbourne, aged about 22. J. Lohan.—Born in Melbourne, mother there, aged 21, been four years on ship, N. E. Robertson, bedroom steward. —Bom in koodoo, single,
W. Dymock, scullery man.—-Born in London, been on s.s. Tarawera, not on .ship very long, aged 31.
