N.S.W. ENQUIRING INTO THE QUESTION. (/Vr Prow Association.—Cojo/riif/it.) Sydney, This day. The Government is looking iuto the question of the treatment of habitua drunkards. The Minister of Justice recommends the establishment of au institution for their treatment, and is making enquiries in England. Habitual drunkards form nearly one-fourth of the prison population of the colony, therefore a large number would be treated. It is estimated that an asylum would cost from £70,000 to £BO,OOO.
