In the firing for the Queen's Prize Sergeant Scott, of the Border Regiment, made the highest score (151). making his aggregate for the two stages 219. He wins a silver medal for top scorers. The second stage includes Carter (Victoria) and Howe (New Zealand), each 146. The present aggregates of the New Zealanders ar«^— Hawthorn ... ... 207 Richardson ... ... 205 Howe (including possible at 500 yds in second stage)... 204 King ... 200 Harrs ... ... ... 196 Scorers of under 207 will be excluded from the 100 who compete for the final in the Queen's Prize. The other leading colonial aggregates are: — Victorians—Carter 211, Walker 208, and Todd 198. Queenslanders —Bradley 204, Anderson 202, Mitchell 199, Heenan 199, Ferguson 194. At Bisley in the Daily Telegraph Cup at the 600 yards range eleven competitors made the highest possible. Banks, of New Zealand, was included, but was unsuccessful in the tie shots. Neither Ballinger, Howe, nor Richardson, New Zealanders, qualified for inclusion amongst the 100 who take part in the final stage of St. George's Challenge Vase. The Australian baseball team has arrived from New York. The American tour was a failure.
