At Bisley Bombardier Carter (\ ictoria) tietl with five others for the St. Geort'f'h Challenge Vase, which after the Queen's Prize is the principal Tkoluuteer competition. Sixty-nine competitors made the highest possibles at GOO yards. Ballingtr (New Zealand) with 66 and Downie (Victoria) 65 also made possibles at that range. The prizes in Marin's Op were won by Downie with '■<'■£. Farther (Victoria) 81, Harris and Simpson (New Zealand) 00. The phenomenal scoring throughout the meeting has iri von rise to a suggestion that the bull's-eye should be made smaller, or should contain a central ring of higher value. Later details show that there *vere 190 competitors in the first stage for St. George's Vase at Bisley. Thirteen tied with scores of 69 out of a possible 70. Scores of GT and upwards were made by 83 competitors, who were included in the 100 qualified to shoot in second stage. The principal scores included New Zealand —King, 67 ; Howe and Richardson, 63. In the Martin Cup Harris and Simpson of New Zealand won £2 each. I ient. Clemenee, of the First Middlesex Kegiment, won the Daiiv Graphic prize after an exciting contest with Lieut. Kelly, of Victoria, and Private Mitchell, of Adelaide. No more colonials succeeded in qualifying among the iiOO who take part in the second stage of the Queen's prize.
