COLONIAL PRIZE TAKERS. I Per 1 Asvu iation. —C"i>yri>jhl. > London, July 19. The colonial riflemen who won minor money prizes at Bisley included the following New jZealanders :—lmperial Prize : Webster £B. Wimbledon Cup: Baliinger £l. Banks £2. Pixley Competition: Hawthorn £1 4s. In the Prince of Wales' Prize, Corporal Winterford. Queensland, tied the Canadian competitor for the bronze medal, but was beaten in shooting off. July 20. A violent thunderstorm passed over the range when tiring for the Queen's Prize, which prevented a number of Colonials competing. The Duke of Connaught visited the camp and conversed with a number of Colonials, asking how they liked the Lee-Metford rifles. The men replied that they were much superior to the Martini-Henri. All the officers of the Colonial contingents were presented to the Duke of Connaught.
