Ctirzon said the Government would take care that the independence of C'orea would be maintained, and they would not allow that territory to be used for the purpose of giving any Power control in the Eastern seas. The Hon. A. -J. Balfour promised that the Government would afford an opportunity for a debate 011 South African affairs if a specific issue were raised.
